I like bab.la, their website is really cool and now they have re-done the apps, too. They have soooo many words! And I really like those phrases. Super helpful when you write a letter or academic paper. Thumbs up!
Im still learning German, but this is by far the best DE-EN dictionary Ive found. Perhaps because it appears to be from a German developer (Im basing that on the use of Deutsch in the app and instructions), but I really appreciate that the gender of German nouns is indicated. Everything is quick and intuitive. One suggestion is having links for the displayed synonyms. Thanks!

Dont be turned away by the fact that this dictionary comes from a German source. It offers an easy interface, even if you speak almost no German, plus loads of words, idioms and phrases that otherwise could cost you plenty.

I have used many German dictionary apps and this is the best I have tried. I would pay for this if I could. Includes articles and search history, which is the next best thing to a flash card maker within the app (my dream).
